Refund Policy

We stand behind MartBooks. This policy explains when you can request a refund on your subscription payment.

1. The 7-day free trial

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment is taken. This is the best way to evaluate whether MartBooks fits your business.

2. First-month money-back guarantee

If you take out a paid subscription (i.e. your trial converts) and decide within 14 days of the first paid charge that MartBooks is not right for you, email [email protected] for a full refund.

3. Renewals after month one

After the 14-day window, monthly renewals are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from the billing dashboard, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until the paid-through date.

4. Annual plans

Annual plans include a discount over paying monthly. If you cancel an annual plan, we refund the pro-rated unused months minus the discount you received on the paid months.

Example: you paid ₦120,000 for 12 months at the annual rate (equivalent to ₦10,000/month, versus ₦12,000/month if paid monthly). You cancel after 4 months. Your effective monthly rate was ₦12,000 for the months used (₦48,000 total), leaving ₦72,000 refundable.

5. Add-on charges

Additional user seats and additional branches are pro-rated at purchase and again on removal. Removing an add-on mid-month credits the unused days to your next invoice.

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email [email protected].
  2. Include your account email and the transaction ID (from your invoice).
  3. Tell us briefly why — this helps us fix product issues, but is not required.

We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

7. Exceptions

  • Accounts terminated for terms-of-service violations are not eligible for refund.
  • Fees for third-party services (Flutterwave payment gateway fees, currency conversion) are non-refundable.
